Introduction

Brain mapping research serves as the cornerstone for understanding brain structure and function, providing critical support for exploring the mysteries of the brain. The construction of whole-brain mesoscale atlases enables the resolution of cell types and spatial distributions of nearly 100 billion neurons, thereby revealing the mechanisms underlying neuronal connectivity. Specifically, the resolution of mesoscale brain atlases in primates offers pivotal targets for the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders, inspires novel research in brain-inspired intelligence, and drives innovation in next-generation intelligent technologies.

The 2025 International Forum on Mesoscopic Brain Mapping will focus on the global cutting-edge brain mapping research results and technological advances. Distinguished experts from both domestic and international areas will be invited to deliver plenary presentations. The symposium aims to establish an open, collaborative global platform to foster exchange and cooperation within the brain atlas research community. Colleagues worldwide engaged in brain atlas research and related fields are cordially invited to participate.
